Wild Woman Costa Rica

21-27 April 2024

Investment: $1649

Unleash your inner wild woman on this intimate, one-week immersion in the Costa Rican rainforest. Through daily yoga and meditation practices combining somatics, ecology, and embodied storytelling, tap into your primal feminine energy and creative force.

This retreat is an experiential study of the Wild Woman archetype: our original need to be in connection with the land, in community with other women, and in tune with our own inner cycles, intuition, and uncensored expression.

Deepen into practice and ritual through embodiment dance, visualisation journeys, journaling, cacao ceremony, singing circles, (self) breast massage, hiking and ocean adventures, and much more. Swim naked in waterfalls, howl at the moon, and sit at the ancient, rooted feet of our wise and wild Mother Nature. And listen...

Do you hear the call of the wild?

Rather than offering a place of retreat and escape, this is a place to root and remember.

What Makes This Retreat Special

Much more than a retreat, this is a fully embodied and experiential immersion.

Encounter and embody the Wild Woman across all aspects of this immersive experience, from bold explorations in somatics, creativity, and spirituality, to adventurous excursions… From bunking amongst sisters to bathing in a waterfall…

The Wild Woman values wild living over luxury, and our rustic and remote jungle environment combined with curated thematic practices will invite us into deeper relationship with nature, our bodies, each other, and our intrinsic and ancient feminine wisdom.

This retreat is crafted by women for women and is an alcohol & substance-free space. A space to which we all come from a diversity of places and backgrounds, to lay by the same beating heart of the Great Mother, a space created with purpose, not to provide escape but a place to root and remember.

Daily Yoga & Meditation

Every day of the retreat will offer unique, embodied yoga and meditation practices, including Creative Vinyasa, Goddess Flow, Bhakti Flow, Candlelit Yin and Restorative, lovingly guided by your facilitators Tiana and Sophia. Whether you are a seasoned practitioner or just beginning on your yoga asana and meditation journey, we hope to provide well-rounded practices, where everyone finds snippets to take back home.

Community of Women

Be embraced by a community of like-hearted women from around the world and feel how your deep feminine wisdom, intuition, and creative gifts blossom in a supportive and celebratory environment, where all distractions and layers of inhibition and suppression are stripped away. Come bond over wild adventure and become part of a lifelong sisterhood.

Experiential Workshops

Get your hands dirty and meet the Wild Woman across mediums with specialized workshops including a “Make your own Medicine” Plant Workshop with indigenous wisdom holders, Breast Massage, Voice Activation through Sacred Songs & Storytelling, Embodiment Dance… You will also get the chance to help in the preparations of one of the circles and get first-hand insights into the art of holding space for women.

Learning Immersion

While there will still be room for relaxation and personal time, due to the immersive and intensive nature of this experience, a certificate for 50 hours of “Continuing Education” will be provided to participants. If you are a registered yoga teacher, you can add those hours to your Yoga Alliance profile. However, there is absolutely no need for you to be yoga teacher to join.

Time to Disconnect

During the retreat, we encourage you to take time off your screens, especially your phone. While we will not be enforcing a strict digital detox, we ask that you do not bring your phone to practices and meals, and that you be conscious about your screen time in order to be present with the land and the people. Even just a week off our screens can heighten our senses and activate our innate instincts in navigation, true connection, and slowing down.

Homemade, Plant-Based Meals

Nourish yourself with 3 vegan meals a day, sourcing plant-based ingredients from the garden at La Choza. Enjoy ripe fruit straight from the tree, daily freshly-baked sourdough bread for gut health, and a variety of dishes inspired by the jungle, as well as Mexican and Indian cuisine. This menu will be diverse, delicious, and healthy fuel for adventure.

Our Jungle Sanctuary

Remote and secluded, La Choza is a retreat space situated on 26 acres of lush re-forested jungle, connecting to La Cangreja National Park. Roughly 2.5 hours south of the San José airport, La Choza is a place to disconnect from urban life and come back to the overflowing harmony of nature. With two onsite waterfalls, outdoor solar-powered showers, breathtaking views, an open-air yoga shala, and cozy sleeping spaces, La Choza is a hidden gem in the rainforest and the perfect space for us to explore and connect with our raw and primal selves, fully in tune with nature and our own inner rhythms.

When Women Gather - Magic Happens

When Women Gather - Magic Happens

“After 15 years of dedicated reforestation and careful creation, the Choza provides a place that serves as a sanctuary for individuals to connect with nature, seek solace from the chaotic aspects of society, heal, and actively contribute to the preservation and care of the natural environment. The Choza offers an opportunity to restore balance and harmony by immersing oneself in curated experiences that foster a deep connection with nature. It encourages individuals to embrace the role of a steward, taking responsibility for the well-being and conservation of the natural world.” —Founder of La Choza

  • Co-Founder

Sensitive and curious, always ready for an adventure, often in search of beauty, special places in nature, and large bodies of water to submerge myself in. You may find me by rivers, rocks, waterfalls, and long point breaks, most probably muddy and barefoot.

I am a yoga facilitator with a deep love for movement, whether that's creative vinyasa sequences, embodiment dance, animal movement, or arm balance play. I believe that moving our bodies in different, fun, and creative ways can spark even more inspiration and joy both on and off the mat.

I studied yoga in North Sumatra, Indonesia with Flying Elephant Yoga (200h) and in Costa Rica with Authentic Movements (300h). I am always looking for new ways of expanding my knowledge about this never ending journey to the self.

My origins are a yummy mix of Russian, Ukrainian, Moldovan, Polish, and Azerbaijan roots. Russian is my mother tongue, I lived in Russia and the Moldovan countryside for the first 10 years of my life, before moving to Paris, France with my mother.

I speak Russian, French, English, and Spanish.

I cannot wait to dance with you!
